One of the most valuable lessons I've learned in over 43 years of dermatology practice is that patients achieve the best results when they're given a complete regimen — not just individual products.
Early in my career, I often allowed patients to mix various skincare products into their routines. Over time, I realized that combining too many active ingredients could increase irritation and reduce compliance.
